Shvachko was an FSB special forces and operations (Spetsnaz) soldier sent to Siberia to guard the scientific group. He is described as being extremely aggressive and trigger-happy. In fact, according to Connor, he possesses a special menacing quality which not even the brutish Koshkin could match. He got into a fight with Koshkin, and Shvachko was injured. He managed to survive, and, in the end, remains in Siberia to monitor any further anomalies. (Extinction Event).
