Jack Bonsaint (played by Larry Musser) was a police captain in Maine who became involved with the investigation into several bizarre deaths, including Dave the Butcher and Jane Frölich. He worked with Dana Scully, who was on vacation in Maine when the incidents began. With little input from Mulder, Scully came to realize that Polly Turner's doll, Chinga must have been connected to the crimes. She even deduced that witchcraft was involved, which Bonsaint reluctantly came to accept as well. Bonsaint enjoyed lobster dinners, for which Maine is well-known. (TXF: "Chinga")
