In God of War: Ascension, large vultures are seen around the living-prison built out of Aegaeon the Hecatonchires. In God of War, Kratos encountered several of these creatures after climbing the Titan Cronos. A first one was seen devouring the flesh of a mortal who had died after climbing Cronos as well, apparently from either exhaustion, starvation, dehydration, or some combination of all three. After this encounter, several more were seen flying around peaks, or perched on outcroppings. They release Green Orbs when killed.
