Dr. Litvack was a neurosurgeon at the Davis Clinic in Metropolis. He was contacted by Lionel Luthor after Lex was shot on Christmas Eve and agreed to perform an operation to remove a blood clot that was causing damage to Lex's spinal column and threatening to leave him paralysed, even though the operation itself would endanger Lex's life.The operation proved to be a success and afterwards Litvack helpfully filled Lex in on what his survival chances had been.
