The December 6, 2008 parade featured Bob McGrath as grand marshal, on "his own Sesame Street float" sponsored by Comcast. The float features Cookie Monster holding a candy cane, Elmo holding a candy cane as well, Lola from Plaza Sésamo holding an ornament, and Count von Count standing with his arms wide open.
