Ghost in the Shell (2017) is a live-action film based on the Ghost in the Shell series. It is directed by Rupert Sanders, starring Scarlet Johanssonn as The Major, Pilou Asbæk as Batou, Michael Pitt as Kuze, and Takeshi Kitano as Section 9 chief Daisuke Aramaki. The film premiered on March 31, 2017 in theatres and IMAX.
