Valdis was a sorceress saved by Arthur from death as the apparent leader of her village, Alrick, sentenced her to death. Before dying, she gave Arthur a small horn known as The Horn of Cathbhadh thanking him for sparing her life (The Death Song of Uther Pendragon).
