In the year 2290, the USS Enterprise-A was docked at the base for a brief layover that allowed the crew some R&R. While the Enterprise was docked at the station, the USS Excelsior arrived to receive several newly assigned crewmembers from the Enterprise. (TOS comic: "No Compromise Part One") In 2370, on stardate 47943.2, the starship USS Thomas Paine received an engine upgrade at the starbase. Lieutenant Farrell transferred aboard the ship there.
