The Komarr Soletta Incident appeared at first to be a simple collision – a fully-loaded asteroid-mining freighter collided with the Komarran soletta, exploded and severely damaged it as a result. The actual events that caused this partially-accidental result were much more complex and form the core of the story of Komarr.
