Appaloosa Plains is a world introduced in The Sims 3: Pets. The world was first mentioned as "a quiet country-side town with meadows and woods to explore." Appaloosa Plains in the past was a cowboy ranch town in the Midwest, on the edge of the highway. As time progressed, the town has degenerated into a bit of a neglected ghost town before finally turning into a large township. The town is named after the Appaloosa breed of horse.
