Dava Nikende was a Bajoran male who served as Kai hundreds of years prior to the 24th century, before Bajor had become united as a single world. He was considered one of Bajor's greatest spiritual leaders. Dava was one of few people to have had an orb experience with the Orb of Souls. Dava foresaw that the Orb of Prophecy and Change could be threatened and kept it hidden, for it to be available for the Emissary of the Prophets.
