Nero, was a male Romulan native to one version of the prime reality of the 24th century. He ended up a prisoner on the Klingon prison planet Rura Penthe after traveling to the past of a variation of the mirror universe . Following the surrender of the Klingon Empire to the Terran Empire, James Kirk was able to capture Nero's ship, the Narada. Kirk proceeded to beam to the surface of Rura Penthe and killed Nero by breaking his neck, as a means of revenge for killing his father. (TOS comic: "Mirrored, Part 1")
