Judith Champagne is a former prosecutor, a judge in Los Angeles County, and the wife of former Detective Champagne. Among Los Angeles law enforcement, is was said that Mr. Champagne "hooked them" and Mrs Champagne "cooked them." In March of 2005, she sentenced Sam Scales to four years in prison, $10,000 in fines, and five years of probation for fraud.
