A river of south London: the root of the name is the same as that of Wandsworth, through which it flows. There was much industry along its banks, including Merton Abbey Mills. The Wandle Trust [1], a registered charity founded in 2000, works to maintain the health of the river. The Wikiapedia page is at [2] and the London's Lost Rivers page is [3].
