Shout is an attribute given to attacks in Final Fantasy VII that are sound-like or noise-like, such as Ruby Weapon's Ruby Ray. Damage of these types of attacks can be halved by either using a Hero Drink or Dragon Force, or equipping Elemental Materia with a non-elemental Materia in a character's armor.
