Following the unification of North America under the United States, the Organization of American States was reorganized to act as the successor to NAFTA. This trade alliance has been a great bolster to the economies of the South American nations. The organization also absorbed the Rio Group, and many have suggested that the ATF will someday lead to a repeat of history for the United States over both American continents.
