The Tramp was present at Weatherfield Police Station in the early hours of Christmas Day 1988, when Ken Barlow went there with Tracy to report Deirdre Barlow missing. The tramp walked past Ken at the front desk while being escorted along the corridor by a policeman, presumably to be interviewed over an unspecified crime. The appearance of the tramp and the ensuing commotion caused the exasperated station sergeant to exclaim "not again!" Actor George Malpas was credited as "George Malpass" for his short appearance as the tramp.
