Neurogenic telepathy was a form of telepathy used by some lifeforms as a means of communication. The bioplasmic organism, referred to as the telepathic pitcher plant, used neurogenic telepathy by means of a neurogenic field. In 2375, the organism, via neurogenic telepathy, convinced the crew of the USS Voyager that they were entering a wormhole leading to the Alpha Quadrant when they were in fact being lured in to be consumed.
