Purlow was a male hare of Salamandastron. He was one of the few hares who escaped with Lord Stonepaw to the cellars of Salamandastron. However, he caused their hiding place to be found out when, upon hearing vermin voices, he went out to investigate and was seen by the Horde members, and was attacked and injured in the process. Once he and the other hares had escaped, he joined the Bark Crew, and survived its last battle. He was said to have a long, droopy nose.
