Katya was an intern at Wilshire Memorial Hospital who struck up a friendship with Matt Fielding. She was from Russia and got Matt to marry her in order for her to stay in the country. She later had a hand in saving the life of Michael Mancini after he and Kimberly Shaw got into a car accident. Katya was later called back to Russia for an emergency, but never returned after deciding to stay there.
