The Battle of Kessel was a small engagement during the Sith Crusade between the forces of Darth Wyyrlok and Nien Ninbs spice miners. Throughout the war, Nien Nunb had been providing the forces of the GFFA with a legalalised form of spice, which had been serving to keep the armed forces relaxed and calm. Following the destruction of the facility and the death of Nien Nunb the spice supply was stopped. The loss of spice had a major effect on the morale of the Galactic Alliance's troops for a prolonged period afterwards.
