Dr. Nefarious created these robots after escape from the asteroid and used these in an attack on planet Veldin. He thinked he would find Ratchet & Clank there, so the Dark Galactic Rangers could destroy they, but them doesn't find any organic life form there. Later they are used in attacks on many planets.
