The swift cruiser was a type of cruiser utilised by the Romulan Star Empire. They were roughly equivalent to a Starfleet strike cruiser. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 5: Starships of the Romulan Star Empire) The Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 5: Starships of the Romulan Star Empire also lists strike cruisers as a type of cruiser used by the Romulans, which is also equivalent to the Starfleet strike cruiser, but it does not explain what the differences between a Romulan Strike cruiser and a swift cruiser might be.
