In Battlefield 1942, the Kübelwagen is shown as a grayish-blue color with a Balkenkreuz on the sides or an Italian flag in Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome. Seating two players, it is issued to German, Japanese (prior to replacement by the Type 95 Kurogane in a patch) and Italian (in Road to Rome) forces. While in Battlefield 1942 and Road to Rome the Kübelwagen is unarmed, in Battlefield 1942 Secret Weapons of WWII the car has an MG42 mounted on a tripod in the back of the car bringing the total number of occupants to three.
