The Kandori Merchants' Guild protects and furthers the financial interests of Kandor, and its members are known and respected across the continent. Kandor is the only country with a large, nation-wide merchants' guild of which most traders and merchants are members. The merchants in other countries are generally too protective of their independence and competitiveness to join forces in such a manner. That the Kandori do so may be indicative of their pragmatic Borderland attitude, putting the needs of the country and the Borderlands ahead of personal concerns.
