Buffalo Star is a constellation in Mid-World believed to have been placed there by Gan. The worshipping of him is one of the oldest religions, images of the wounded bull being found of him which predate even the Imperium of the Old Ones. After the Great Cataclysm his worship took on new meaning. He was said to roam the Outer Arc offering his body to starving people whose food sources were now poisonous. Some say he also gave up his fur coat to help people stay warm. Due to this he gained a loyal following called the Preachers of the Buff even in the Downland Baronies where life was less harsh.
