The 5th Fighter Squadron (Commando) is an inactive United States Air Force unit. Its last assignment was with the 1st Air Commando Group stationed at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey. It was inactivated on 3 November 1945. The unit was reactivated as the 605th Air Commando Squadron in 1962 at operated in the Panama Canal Zone until being inactivated in 1973.
