The Grandfather is a unique Colossus Blade in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Although its properties are simple, they are deadly in their effect. In terms of unique swords, the Grandfather is perhaps unrivaled in terms of base damage. Although it does not add any elemental damage, it does add maximum damage with each Character level. At high enough levels, damage reaches staggering amounts. The Grandfather's bonus to all Attributes stacks on itself. It gives a very large bonus to life by boosting Vitality and life directly, Attack Rating by boosting Dexterity, and damage by boosting Strength.
