Katherine Lundquist was the wife of science fiction author Pete Lundquist. Pete shared his concerns that Mark Gordian had somehow plagiarized his work with Katherine. Later, when Gordian, really a woman named Michelle, tried to seduce Pete, his strong love for and loyalty to Katherine, kept him from giving in.
