The Ander (破戒僧 (アンダー), Andā; Japanese for "Depraved Monk", Dutch for "Other"), commonly referred to as simply "The Traitors", were a group of Quincy who betrayed their own breed to the Shinigami. Selling out the location of the greatest pool of hiding Quincies, they committed this disgraceful act out of the promise for wealth and power. Receiving they actually did, but not much later the Shinigami turned back on them, believing the danger to be to overwhelming. Surprised and overwhelmed, the Ander had to retreat to an unknown location, swearing to one day get their revenge.
