Amber ferns were a species of plant native to the Outer Rim world of Mandalore. Possessing a yellow coloration, amber ferns were fragile and grew in clumps that littered the galek tree forests on Mandalore. When Mand'alor Boba Fett buried the remains of his deceased father and daughter—Jango Fett and Ailyn Vel, respectively—on Mandalore, he did so in a grove of galek trees where amber ferns grew in abundance.
