The Insider Threat Advisory Group (ITAG) is an inter-agency entity chartered by the National Counterintelligence Executive. It leverages information assurance, security, and counterintelligence to detect, deter, and mitigate the insider threat. The ITAG has identified fundamental insider threat elements, will define their "best practices," and will recommend standards and policy for a uniform Insider Threat Program.
