Allison Smith is an American stage, television and movie actress. On House, M.D., she portrayed young mother Kayla McGinley, the patient in the Season 2 episode The Mistake. McGinley started her career at the age of 12, playing a young version of Eva Perón in the television movie Evita Peron. She also appeared as Little Orphan Annie in a Broadway production of Annie. Three years later, she obtained her first regular role as Jennie Lowell on Kate & Allie. Although she has been in many guest and recurring roles since, her real career has been focussed on Broadway where she has appeared in The Sound of Music and Gypsy.
