The trump soldier is based on the soldier cards that appear in Lewis Carroll`s Alice in Wonderland. In the story the Queen of Hearts has them at their disposal, the spades are gardeners, the diamonds are couriers, the clubs are soldiers and the hearts are part of the royal family.
