Robert was an Umbrella employee assigned to the Arklay Laboratory complex in 1998. During the t-Virus leak at the facility, Robert was infected and later killed by a friend of his to prevent his transformation into a zombie, hanging himself as Robert lay submerged in a dormitory bathroom.
