During the Separatist Crisis, X'Doc turned to the Dark Side and became Dooku's Acolyte, after killing his Padawan. X'Doc fought in many battles against his old friends and even duelled his former master, Jind Esimal at one point, but fled when it appeared that Esimal was a superior duelist. After the death of Dooku, X'Doc knew that he would be next, so fled to the small number of remaining Providence ships which he knew were planning an escape. He arrived to find a small army of battle droids, and soon after they left. One ship, however, left much later than the others, and X'Doc was going to go and check what was happening, but it soon followed after his ship.
