Leo Winkler was a man who also happened to be a serial killer named "The Dead Rose Slasher". According to Donald Mallard, Winkler had been born to a drug-addicted woman named Rose and as such, Winkler later incorporated that into his killings, leaving a rose at the scenes of his victims with the team even believing that Winkler did this in order to prevent other people like himself, ie, sons born to drug-addicted mothers being created.
