Public Works Projects become available after the Mayor achieves 100% approval from the town's citizens. Public Works Projects are similar to Community Projects seen in Animal Forest and Animal Forest e+, as well as Town Fund projects in City Folk which allowed the player to add new features such as the Windmill, Lighthouse, Water Fountain, and a new Bridge, but many more options are available in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
