Current Silicon based transistors will be replaced with a better technology. Moore's Law will continue. Possible candidates are based on * Multiple cores per chip. * combination of silicon and germanium (III/IV) semiconductors [1][2] * Trigate transistors [3] * 3D computer chips. [4] * On-chip memory. [5] * Silicon Photonics Research [6] * molecular electronics or nanoelectronics (advanced chemistry/biochemistry) * plasmonics (wave effects of electrons are used) * spintronics [7] (including phase-change and magneto-stricitve RAM) * nanotubes (graphene electronics) [8] * Nanotubes replace silicon. PRAM, MRAM. * Holographic storage. [9] * Quantum computing * DNA computing
