The most noticeable thing about Dead Metal's appearance in this game is that he is grey and pink. This was due to the fact that the real-life Dead Metal was originally to be painted pink, to match his lobster-like appearance. This idea was decided against on the real machine, but it was implemented in this game for unknown reasons. It wasn't though, repeated in any subsequent Robot Wars games.
