Scarlett the Macaw was a red macaw with blue and yellow wings from Central America. A member of the Adventure Society discovered Scarlett near a snake den while attempting to investigate the crash of a supply plane, and after charming the bird with a flute, was able to bring the creature to live at Base Camp. According to Emily Balderdash's notes, Scarlett knew words in eleven languages.
