A tuberose is a type of flower that contains pollen that, when inhaled by a purple fly or a Smurf infected by the "purple disease", causes the inhaler to sneeze and turn blue. It was used in "The Purple Smurfs" to restore the Purple Smurfs back to normal. It first appeared in the original comic book story "The Black Smurfs".
