Mezeg was a planet located in the Mezeg sector. Aligned with the Galactic Republic, it had strict enforcement at its freighter terminals, sometimes guarding them with akk dogs. In 19 BBY, freight pilot Nyreen Vollen passed by Mezeg's terminal and had to go through an inspection from the Galactic Empire's stormtroopers in search of stray Jedi. She managed to pass the inspection despite hiding two Jedi—Tallisibeth Enwandung-Esterhazy and Kina Ha—in her ship.
