Director Meyser Kayson was a Rebel supporter and financier. He owned most of Kwenn Space Station and tried to use it as a Rebel safeworld to train recruits. He had a son who owned and operated a weapon shop on Mos Eisley. An attempt on his life took place on 2 ABY. The Rebel Alliance suspected of spy Derrida; they also thought that Kayson's Rebel links were compromised. Soon afterward, Kayson's son saw Derrida in Mos Eisley, meeting with Garindan.
