Boawa was a pilot and general of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Sometime following the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, an Imperial pilot working on behalf of the Naboo Space Station engaged General Boawa and four other Rebel pilots in the Naboo system, and destroyed them.
