The Disappearatron X-38 is a sentient magic wand used by the Amazing Mumford in episode 3972 of Sesame Street. Mumford shows off his new wand to Elmo, which he claims can make anything disappear. He demonstrates on Elmo's letter S, which somehow ends up making all letter Ss on the street vanish. As Mumford consults the manual, the wand flashes and emits a strange noise. With a special command, "A la spill the beans," the wand suddenly springs to life, singing some clues as to where the letters can be found.
