Lord Zal Qidan was a wealthy Human male noble of House Mecetti who lived during the later years of the Draggulch Period. Born on the planet Nyssa of the Tapani sector, Qidan was inducted into the Mecrosa Order, an underground society that originally arose from the teachings of the dark side-worshipping Sith Order. In Qidan's time, however, the Mecrosa Order—following the Cleansing of the Nine Houses during the Old Sith Wars—had all but abandoned the ways of the Sith, instead favoring more conventional means of assassination and espionage to support House Mecetti in secrecy.
