Alu Clane Beorht (13 ABY) was born to Dark Jedi parents in the Sith Empire. Her father left when she was only a few months old. Alu was raised by her mother, the Sith governor of the Anari sector. The child of a Zeltron and a Twi'lek, Alu's skin is red. When the SE broke apart, Iara became a warlord and later left the Anari Sector to fight the Xen'Chi, missing the SE's reunification. She took Alu with her in her travels, except on the more dangerous missions.
