Aveling & Porter no. 7838 is an convertible traction engine that was built in 1912 by Aveling & Porter in Rochester Kent. This engine is currently owned/in the care of M. Oliver of Cheshire. Formerly owned & restored by Fred Dibnah Steeple jack & 'back street mechanic' in his shed over many years. The engine co-stred in Freds TV series " Made in Britain"
