The Kingdom of Rinkitink is a country that lies near the Land of Oz. The capital is Gilgad, and the country is ruled by a king whose name is also Rinkitink. It is not a very big country, and lies close to the Nonestic Ocean. All the houses and the king's palace are built near the shore. The people enjoy boating and fishing, and the wealth of the kingdom is gained from trading along the coast and with nearby islands. Rinkitink is separated from Oz by a strip of the Nome Kingdom and a Sandy Desert. The island of Pingaree is four days' journey to the north. (Rinkitink in Oz)
